Nowadays, the human activities are replaced little by little by robot. Factory workers or
checkout boy and girl of supermarket gradually disappea r from the work world. Of course, there are
beneficial and harmful aspect.
As regards as economical point of view, this is a bad aspect. Everywhere, in the world, there are
people without job, who needs a job to live, to eat , to have a home and to satisfy his family needs. I t
means, that the robot could take a job of person who really need it. Another weak point it is the day
when there is no electricity! Without electricity all these technology couldn’t work, and we are used to
live with all these technology, and the day it does n’t work, we saw that like a real problem. Like the da y
that our self-phone break down.
Sometime technology are good because they are faster t han human. For example, there are new
machine who replaces the checkout person in supermark et, I use it as I can because it is really fast than
going to the checkout assistant. The technology als o facilitate the human work condition, for example in
factory, there are robot which takes some pieces to p ut them in another place, it is a really good point i n
this case, because just moving some pieces from a p osition to another it is very tire for a person, and
cause some health problem like tendonitis. We can al so say it is a good point for enterprise: we don’t
need to give a salary to a robot, and it is never si ck, never late, never be in bad mood and moreover it is
always the same work speed, always efficiency.
From another point of view we can also see a decrease in social activity from humans.
Technology has given us the ability to communicate faster and easier through social networks without
the need to come in real, face to face, contact with other humans. This has proven to be very efficient
and profitable in the business world because the comm unications happen fast and reliably but on the
contrary it has a bad impact in humane and social i nteraction. Without personal communication and
socialization a person can become isolated and loose the ability to humanly communicate with other
members of the society. Research has shown that human s are biologically wired to social interaction
and social integration, meaning that we have the nee d to communicate with other people and we have
the need to belong to groups and active societies. I f those needs are not satisfied it can have a major
impact in physical and psychological health.
To conclude, technology replaces more and more human activity, it is a truth but they are good
and bad aspect. When it is to facilitate human work condition, it is a good point, but sometime, robots
are created, only to replaces a job. Technology shoul d be used wisely and with respect to human needs
and particularities.
