any document submitted to the administrative office. Also check if the name of the coordinator is
selected correctly on the platform .
Any inconsistency in the title of the thesis leads t o rejection of submitting the dissertation paper
for being defended.
The dissertation paper will be tested for plagiarism.

On June 22nd, 2017, between 18:00 -20:00, you will bring 2 copies of your dissertation paper
together with the electronic version on a CD (it must include word and pdf files, and if it is the
case, any other file type related to your dissertation) .

Structure:
1. Cover page – information which must appear on the cover of the paper (presented in Appendix 1);
2. Title page – the informati on that must appear on the title page of the dissertation paper
3. Table of contents – the dissertation paper will have a table of contents comprising at least the
titles of all chapters and subchapters accompanied by the page numbers where each chapter and
subchapter begins
4. List of figures and list of tables – When the dissertation paper contains figures (images, graphs)
and/ or tables, those will be presented immediately after the table of contents as lists (separately
for figures and tables) containing the name of each element and the page number on which it is
located
5. Introduction
6. Chapters – the dissertation paper will contain between 3 and 4 chapters numbered in ascending
order, each of them containing in the final part a section of conclusions which synthesizes the
information and/ or results presented in that chapter; titles and subtitles of chapters must be
clearly highlighted.
Research methodology is a subchapter of the paper. It presents a critical overview of previous
researches conducted on the theme based on references. Research is presented with details
regarding the support for choosing the method of investi gation (questionnaires, test s, interview
descriptions etc.);
7. Conclusions and future research – in this part of the thesis are presented the most important
conclusions from chapters, personal opinions regarding results, as well as potential future
research related to the subject. Conclusions are not numbered as a distinct chapter;
8. References – this is the last part of the dissertation paper and it contains a list of all sources of
information used by graduate for writing the thesis. References are not numbered as a distinct
chapter; The references will be listed using APA citation style.
9. Appendices (if applicable) – these appear in a separate section that is not numbered as a chapter.
Each appe ndix will be mentioned at least once in the dissertation paper text. Appendices are
numbered in ascending order (Appendix 1, Appendix 2, etc).
Size and format
Times New Roman 12 , spacing 1, 3 lines and margins of 2.5 cm left and 2 cm top, right and bottom.
Appendices are numbered separately.

Please consider the following:
1. Spacing – the body text will have a spacing of 1 ,3 lines.
2. Text alignment within paragraphs – the text within normal paragraphs will be aligned between the
left and right margins (justifi ed). The first line of each paragraph will have a 1.5 cm indentation.
Exceptions are chapter titles, which can be centered as well as the labels of tables and figures (see
explanation below); do not leave white lines between paragraphs unless you expressly wish to
highlight a particular section.
3. Page numbering – page numbering starts from the title page and continues until the last page, but
the page number is displayed only starting with the introduction. The page number is inserted
centered, on the botto m of the page.
4. The page header – appears starting with the introduction and contains the name of the graduate
(left) and chapter title (right).
5. Tables – tables are numbered with two figures, the first representing the chapter number and the
second repres enting the table number in the chapter. Each table has a number and a title,
mentioned above the table, aligned to the right (i.e. Table 1.1. Employees distribution on
1.10.2009). Inside tables the text will be written with Times New Roman, max. 11 points, single
spacing. Where applicable, data source is specified under the table, aligned justified, compulsory
indicating the author's name(s), source (book, journal), publisher, year , page or full Internet
address. For bibliographical sources mentioned under tables or figures Times New Roman is to be
used, 8 -10 points, single spacing.
6. Figures – figures (this includes images, graphs, screenshots) are numbered with two figures, the
first representing the chapter number and the second representing the number of the figure in
the chapter (e.g. Figure 1.1. The relationship between motivation and performance); each figure
has a number and a title, which is mentioned below the figure, centered; if necessary, data source
is specified, on the following line, aligned ju stified, compulsory indicating the author's name(s),
source (book, journal), publisher, year, page or full Internet address.
7. Links to bibliographical references will be present within the text, in the right place, either by
identifying the number of the r eference in the reference list, as, for example: [45, pp.23 – 25],
either by specifying the author, as, for example (Charieux, 2009 ). Footnotes can be used especially
for extensive comments, explanations, etc. The mentioned references/papers must be insert ed in
the list of references.
References – will include books, chapters in books, articles , lists of websites consulted. References
will be ordered alphabetically by authors' names using APA citation style.
Footnotes – where quotes (e.g. definitions, opinions, classifications, etc.) and figures (e.g. the
inflation rate, ranks, GDP, etc.) are used or when terms are explained (ex. stakeholders, formulas

used), footnotes will be used to indicate the data source(s). The footnote is inserted in the
paragrap h exactly where the document is cited, if possible. Footnotes are inserted in the text after
punctuation, such as commas or points, and outside of quotation marks or brackets. The format of
footnotes will be Times New Roman, 10 -11 points, single spacing. A ll bibliographic details will be
stated in the first citation within the same chapter; the abbreviations will be used only within the
same chapter, otherwise the source/reference may be difficult to be identified. Footnote numbers
are neither preceded nor followed by spaces, lines, brackets or other signs.
Public presentation
The dissertation paper is defended in front of a committee formed by specialists from the
department. The defense has two parts: in the first part, the student briefly exposes the research
results, in the second part answers the questions addressed by the committee members.
After finalizing the presentation, the committee members ask questions and the student responds
with research arguments in order to support his/her ideas.
