Instructions for the preparation of the papers to be
accepted and published in the Scientific Bulletin of the
Politehnica University of Timsoara, Transactions on
Hydrotechnics

Abstract: These instructions are used in the present for
papers publishing in the Scientific Bulletin of Politehica
University of Timisoara, Transactions on Hydrotechnics .
The ab stract is a narrative part containing the
description of methods, the solutions proposed and also
the experimental results and should not exceed 100
words. It is not admitted bibliographic references in the
abstract. The paper should comprise no more t han 8
pages (even number) and should be sent by e -mail
([anonimizat] ) in DOC format .
Keywords: keyword 1, keyword 2, (4 -6 most relevant
keywords)

1. INTRODUCTION
The author must prepare the paper i n the A4
(metric) format (29,7×21 cm). The required format for
pages, columns, tables and figures are presented in the
next section
2. EDITING INSTRUCTIONS
In formatting your paper set Top and Bottom margins
to 5.5 cm on first page and 1.78 cm for the rest , Left
and Right margins to 2.54 cm. Use two equal columns
of 7.71 cm width and 0.5 cm the space between
columns and Tab stop position at 0.63 cm. Use Times
New Roman font type and typefaces presented in the
below table

Justify both l eft and right columns. Use a single space
in the main text section, between sections and
between tables and figures to adjust the column
length. on the last page of the paper try to adjust the
length of both columns so they are the same.
3. FIGURES AND TA BLES
The figures and the tables will be insert in main text
and center aligned. Please avoid to place figures
before the first mention of the figure in the text. Use
the abbreviation “Fig ure 1” even at the beginning of
the sentence. If necessary for table s and figures use at
their place only a single column. It is recommended to
avoid the insertion of sca nned graphic objects.

4. EQUATIONS
Number equations consecutively with equation
numbers in parentheses flush with the right margins like
(1), (2). Use a single space before and after equation.
Also, if necessary use at their place only a single
column. Be sure that the symbols in your equation have
been defined before the equation appears or immediately
following.
5. OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
Use the International system of units (ME). Please
explain the abbreviations and acronyms. Please avoid a
such kind of abbreviations in the paper title. It’ s
recommended to avoid a section type like
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS or THANKS.
REFERENCES
Use the following style for the references used in
the paper. It’s recommended to limit the number of
references at a reasonable one.
