statistical methods to books and other media of communication”
From quantitative perspective, bibliometric take in consideration necessities to measure scientific
research. Why? We face with internationalization of scientific community, economic and societ al use of
science. Bibliometric represented a statistical approach to master the flowing flood of scientific
information to measure quantitative aspects of these process and providing the results to scientists and
user outside the scientific community.
From a qualitative perspective, bibliometric represented a sociometrical approach to understand
the meaning of scientific communities and draw conclusions concerning organization of science systems.
The impact of bibliometric is huge nowadays. Bibliometric p lays an increasing role in research evaluation
and quantitative formulas with bibliometric components are used for allocation of funding.
Is bibliometric the right way to analyze the quality of scientific research? Research evaluation change what
