Dear Alexandru Balaceanu,
Thank you for applying to the 20th Course of the International School of Cosmic Ray Astrophysics. We have reviewed your material and believe that you would both
contribute to, and benefit from, the Course. Therefore, I am delighted to confirm you as a participant in the Course in August, 2016. CONGRATULATIONS.
Please thank your supervisor for endorsing your participation.
The cost of the course is 700 Euro and covers room, meals, airport transfers and all course activities.
It gives me pleasure to tell you that we will hold a full scholarship in your name to cover the 700 Euro cost of the course. Again, congratulations. We have NO (zero, nada)
funds to support international travel. Thus, the scholarship will be confirmed once we have received assurances from you that (1) you have arranged the international travel
to Italy, and (2) you have received an Italian visa, if required and (3) you accept the scholarship.
Arrival should be at the Palermo airport, hopefully before 17:00, on 1 August, 2016. The Centre will organize transport from there to Erice (as well to get you back to the
Palermo airport after the School on 7 August to meet your return flight). More details will be forthcoming via email or the website http://Laspace.Lsu.edu/ISCRA/. Note
that this will be a very busy time in Erice with several courses ongoing. Therefore, it will NOT be possible to arrive earlier than 1 August or to stay later than 7 August.
Pease plan accordingly.
Please enter your travel details (arrival and departure time) as soon as possible in our indico system.
We will be accepting some poster contributions from participants (details to follow).
We are looking forward to an interesting and exciting course and are pleased that you will be able to join us.
We can provide a Letter of Invitation for you to use in obtaining a visa or for other official purposes. Please ask.
